Many people do not understand what to eat to lose weight. They think that in order to lose weight they must take extreme measures to do so. In reality, it is the type of carbohydrate you eat that makes a difference. While simple carbohydrates such as sugar and white flour can spike the body's blood sugar levels and leave the dieter feeling lethargic, complex carbohydrates give our bodies its energy. Consuming whole grains is an excellent way to consume carbohydrates that benefit our bodies.

The same rules apply to fats. The truth about fat is that our bodies actually need it in order to survive. The key is eating good fats such as nuts, olive oil and flax seed instead of animal fats.

I'm 15 and have terrible gas? Please help. (10pts)?
This isn't a joke. It started in the ending of the 8th grade. During the last period of the day I would have gas sometimes gas would start earlier on some days. Anyways I think it is because I gained weight. Not 2 or 3lbs but more because in 8th grade I weighed about 105 in the beginning then 110 near the ending and now I'm in 9th grade and weigh 120lbs and the gas is still here. I'm afraid of silence in classes. If I don't let it out then my stomach starts making weird loud noises. I'm 5'2 and my stomach gets scrunched together when I sit. It didn't used to be like that. I'm not so sure If me gaining a lot more weight and my belly being rolls when I sit is the reason I'm having horrible gas. Do I have to lose weight? Now I'm scared to go to the movie theater because parts of the movie are long silent parts and It's loud in my stomach and I can hear It coming out. Then I have to leave in embarrassment. Now I can't go with my friends anymore because of the gas. Even sleepover kill me, I accidentally farted when I forgot I wasn't at home. I knew she heard it but she was trying to pretend she didn't. Whenever I'm nervous I can feel it trying to push it's way out. It's gotten so bad to the point that I had to switch into a charter school. But now I'm going to start to be in a class next Tuesday with many other students because we all have to try and remember all the things we learned in the beginning of the year for the upcoming testing were going to have. I'm going to have to sit in silence for the next 2 weeks and 2days of testing. Please If there is anyone out there that can help me, I'm listening. I'm so scared to death. Right when my teacher told me today about it today I just wanted to faint. I really need some help. I want it to be gone forever. I ate the same food from when I was younger and never had as much gas as I did now. I even stop eating food from fast food restaurants. I'm in deep need of some help. Some days I can't even have bowel movements. I took some laxative tea and it helped somewhat. But I still had gas. Anybody out there that can help and/or comfort me? Please.
