exercising isn't helping me lose as much weight as it did when i first started?
okay so i'm 5'6 and currently weigh 64kg (overweight) I was originally around 68-70kg but then i started exercising for an hour each day and started to lose some weight. I had heard that in order to lose weight you gotta have enough energy and so i didn't really cut back on how much i ate (i normally eat healthy and appropriate amounts, 3 meals per day). Anyway my diet was pretty healthy and so exercise played the main role in my plan to lose weight. I exercised for an hour every day, 30 minutes of running at 8mph and 30 minutes of treadmill at 7mph and i'd lose a total of 500 calories from that. It all started pretty well, it didn't take long for me to realize that i was losing weight and actually looking better and that my clothes fit me much better. However, after a couple of weeks, the speed of my losing weight kinda slowed down and even though i'm still sticking to the plan, i haven't lost a lot of weight. I know that there's a plateau period that ever person who wants to lose weight has to go through, but i've increased the intensity of my workout and i still don't see any improvement. by the way, when i look in the mirror, i seem much muscular and even fatter than i used to, can any one of you explain why this is happening? Is this a normal phenomenon or is there something that i have to change about my weight loss plan? Thank you :) By the way, i'm sort of worried that exercising will make me way more muscular than i want to be. I'm not saying that i'm not gonna exercise to lose weight and switch to just going on diets, coz i know that's unhealthy and ineffective in the long run. But because i feel like i'm gaining more and more muscles, is there a way of not gaining or gain less?
