I'm a vegetarian and want to lose fat and gain muscle?
I just became a vegetarian and it's going good so far. I have some belly fat to lose, but I also want to build muscle so I need lots of protein. What are some things I should eat? I'm going to start working out probably everyday in about two weeks once school is out. I like to run so I'll probably run for abou and hour about three times a week and do strength training as well. I've heard of whey protein people drink when they want to build muscle, should I get some to drink after my workouts? How can I make sure I'm getting enough protein to build muscle?

Why are these not being built? What are the obvious flaws?
I watched the movie "blue gold" in class yesterday, and they talked about "desalinization" and how it costs a lot of electrical energy which we don't have.
And I thought: What's a good way of renewing electrical energy?
Then it hit me.
Kinetic energy is pollution-free, and it can generate electricity. We have these... work-out gym centres in every city. All that energy is being wasted as people try and lose fat.
So... why don't we link rechargeable batteries to the fitness equipment, which people will use, and generate free electricity for the city? :D That, or we can built a giant facility with a bunch of bicycles/ellipticals and hook a battery to that.
To motivate people to do so, I was thinking that, since the YOUTH population (including me) are always looking for work and volunteerism, we can "pay" people who work out at gyms with volunteer hours for amount of electricity generated. We can make cards and stuff for people to check in and check out, right? That way I can get some volunteer hours for high school too! :D
Of course, using the equipment will be free at such electricity-generation centers.
I can forsee two possible problems:
-the cost of having to build facilities (if we can't just hook batteries up to existing gym centers like YMCA)
-a plausible shortage of people showing up
For the first one, I think that, if the second problem does not occur, the long-term benefit outweighs the cost by far. As for the second, we can encourage children in school to go to such centers on "field trips" to encourage activities at these electric centers, and promote the usage of these things through school presentations.
Now... what do you think of this idea? :D If it's any good I was thinking about contacting the mayor (lol but seriously).
