Many people do not understand what to eat to lose weight. They think that in order to lose weight they must take extreme measures to do so. We all know that what we put in our mouths directly affects our weight, and therefore our health. If we want to lose weight the healthy way, we have to learn to eat a sensible diet with a balance of food groups such as fat, protein and carbs.

In reality, it is the type of carbohydrate you eat that makes a difference. While simple carbohydrates such as sugar and white flour can spike the body's blood sugar levels and leave the dieter feeling lethargic, complex carbohydrates give our bodies its energy. Consuming whole grains is an excellent way to consume carbohydrates that benefit our bodies.

The same rules apply to fats. The truth about fat is that our bodies actually need it in order to survive. The key is eating good fats such as nuts, olive oil and flax seed instead of animal fats.

By doing simple things such as reading food labels before dec iding what to eat to lose weight can make a huge difference in the amount of calories a person eats in a day. Many foods have hidden calories in them that you may not even realize your are consuming them if you do not read the labels.

I want to lose weight now.....?
I hate my body. I find it disgusting. it makes me feel unpopular and ugly. I have plenty of friends, but i find myself saying 'that would have happened if i was skinny'. I see my friends every day talking to boys they like and who have an actual interest in them, because they're skinny. Obviously i know its cos of their lovely personalities too, but i know that it is a main factor. I live in Ireland, and im a size 16. which is overweight. I hate it so much. I dont care how i lose weight. All i know is i want to start now and fast.I feel so insecure and lack confidence. I go to school so meal plans where you eat 5 times a day etc. are kinda hard. I have wii fit and just dance and all the exercise games. I like most vegetables so thats not a problem. not allergic to anything. Im looking for guidelines on meal plans, calorie intake and what kind of exercise to do.. please help me i really would appreciate it so much.....

HELP!!! I need to lose weight, now!!!!?
Im 5'8, nearly 14st and my ass is the size of satern.I'm going to Florida in 14 weeks. I'm obviously over weight and need a diet that will help me to lose some weight. Fast!!! Im a overweight teenage girl that wants to lose weight?
Ive been chubby since i was in 3rd grade i use to always be out going but than i started eating fast foods nd stuff nd thts how i put on weight as a kid :/ I want to lose weight now.. My boyfriend just broke up with me he was chubby to (: But i dont think he liked the fact tht i was to :( He used the 'Its not you its me' excuse (Girls you kno what i mean) but im like thick :/ Im native american nd i have black girl thighs (Not that that is bad) nd like a rly chubby tummy nd fat on the arms wit a lil butt nd i want to be skinner to were i could fit into a size 7 or a 9 pants wit a butt Lol Nd i want to at least lose like 70 pounds in 2 months bcuz im 215 nd 15 years old.. I think im suppose to be like 135 when yur like 5'2?
