Do You Know What to Eat to Lose Weight - Or What Not to Eat to Lose Weight?
Do you have the following ideas of taking diets when trying to lose weight?
*I should not eat too much carohydrates.
*I should cut out all the fats.
* I should eat less everyday.
If you want to know more about these ideas, read on.
Many people do not understand what to eat to lose weight. They think that in order to lose weight they must take extreme measures to do so. Sadly, the only thing extreme measures do in most cases is cause the person to fail. The good news is that there are simple changes you can make in your diet that will lead to weight loss in a much healthier way. A person who loses weight by eating healthy instead of taking extreme measures will most likely keep that weight off longer than a person who loses weight through extremes.
We all know that what we put in our mouths directly affects our weight, and therefore our health. If we want to lose weight the healthy way, we have to learn to eat a sensible diet with a balance of food groups such as fat, protein and carbs.
For the same reason, you must eat a balanced diet that will fill your body with the vitamins and minerals it needs. It is unwise to cut out complete food groups from our diets. This type of dieting usually does not lead to prolonged weight loss and can actually hurt our health rather than help our bodies become healthier.
With the South Beach and Atkins trends in the past several years, many potential dieters are under the assumption that in order to lose weight, they must cut out all carbohydrates. In reality, it is the type of carbohydrate you eat that makes a difference. While simple carbohydrates such as sugar and white flour can spike the body's blood sugar levels and leave the dieter feeling lethargic, complex carbohydrates give our bodies its energy. Consuming whole grains is an excellent way to consume carbohydrates that benefit our bodies.
The same rules apply to fats. The truth about fat is that our bodies actually need it in order to survive. The key is eating good fats such as nuts, olive oil and flax seed instead of animal fats.
By doing simple things such as reading food labels before dec iding what to eat to lose weight can make a huge difference in the amount of calories a person eats in a day. Many foods have hidden calories in them that you may not even realize your are consuming them if you do not read the labels.
What to eat to lose weight is a question many of us have. There are foods that are healthier for us than others, and if eaten in moderation, can help us lose weight.

Insanity or P90X, I don't want to lose weight?
I'm a skinny guy, small waist (size 30), nicely shaped pecs, great shoulders... imagine a track runner. I have been doing Insanity for a week now, and I must say, it is pretty awesome. But, I am worried that if I do the insanity workout as suggested (6 days a week) then I will lose weight. I don't want to lose weight because there is no weight to lose. I don't even take in the required amount of calories daily, I assume. Insanity or P90X? I want to maintain a great, well-toned body, a little muscle-mass wouldn't hurt, and perhaps a bit of cardio to maintain a healthy heart. I would love to hear what you have to say.

Stretch marks everywhere?
I'm an 18 year old Male, my height is about 5' 9 and I weigh about 210 pounds. I've started getting stretch marks since I was 15 and now I am 18. I know I am overweight and I try to exercise and cut down on eating but I just cannot do it. I am not motivated enough, but now I am seeing that I am getting more and more stretch marks as time passes by I am beginning to become self conscious and hate myself. I have stretch marks on; my right shoulder, both arms all the way down, both hips(about 10 on each hip, I cannot even look at myself in the mirror), inner thighs, buttocks, under my armpits and on my lats (behind my arms, these are the ones I hate the most I have so many there).
I hate myself so much, I always wear long sleeved clothes even in the summer to hide it all. I can no longer take off my clothes in front of anyone. I no longer go swimming. I hate myself for becoming a fat and lazy person.
I have used coco butter cream for the past couple of months but nothing has happened, the stretch marks are still bright red.
I cannot even look at myself in the mirror. Can anyone please help me. I haven't told anyone that I know that I have stretch marks, not even my family. For years I have kept it a secret from them, they could have been helping me, buying me different creams to try.
Can anyone advise me on how to lose weight, how to get more fit and reduce the visibility of the stretch marks?
I have been doing sit ups and push ups for about a week now, but that is all I have done. What types of exercise and cardio should I be doing?
I am also afraid that I will never be in a relationship, no one will love me with all these stretch marks that I have. If I did get into a relationship, I would be scared to tell a woman that I have stretch marks, I would never take my clothes off in front of her. I wouldn't even want to take my clothes off if we were making love.
Please someone comfort me and tell me what to do.
Thanks for all answers.

Have you experienced weight gain from Keppra (Levetiracetam)?
I have epilepsy and started Keppra about 3 yrs ago in addition to the lamictal and zonegran I have taken for years (no weight gain from those). Not too long after I started abilify and cymbalta for depression. I cannot stop gaining weight! I recently got off the abilify to see if that's what was causing the weight gain but it doesn't appear to be it. Now I'm working my way off the cymbalta (my doc is having me do this super slowly). Hopefully once I get off the cymbalta I'll lose weight again but anyone have this experience with Keppra?
