Low-Cal Diet Rich in Fish, Rice and Veggies?
I just read an article about Miley Cyrus going gluten-free and near the end was an interesting part.
"Years ago I read The Okinawa Program, which revealed the lifestyle of the healthiest longest-living society in the world, in the Okinawa islands off Japan. People regularly live into their 90s and beyond in Okinawa, and they eat a low calorie diet rich in fish, rice and vegetables."
I only started to become a fan of eating sea food several years ago. Now that I like fish, my mom purchases frozen tilapia fillets more frequently. I make them for me and my dad when it's sort of a free-for-all night. I like fish, but I'm not a sea food connoisseur. My taste-range for sea food is not vast. I stick with what I know, and that is those frozen tilapia fillets.
I know that having fish in your diet can be healthy, but the way I cook it is not healthy. I always saute an entire onion in butter, salt and pepper. If we don't have brown rice available (which is what I prefer) I make instant white rice. I normally mix the onion in with the rice before I plate it. I cook my fish fillets in a lot of butter and add a lot of lemon pepper seasoning on both sides. Normally I melt more butter and drizzle it over the fish that I have placed over the bed of rice.
It's so delicious, but obviously, it's not very healthy. I don't normally make any vegetables to go along with this meal because the fish and rice alone is very filling for me. In fact, I often over eat when I make this. Bad idea!
After reading that part of the Miley Cyrus article, I thought about healthier alternatives to cooking tilapia. Are there healthier degrees of fish to be had, as well?
I rarely eat meat as it is. I don't very much care for beef, but I do really like chicken. I wouldn't mind having more fish in my diet, but I'm also worried about mercury poisoning, as I've read can happen whilst consuming fish.
Any ideas if this is a good way to go, a low cal diet rich in fish, rice and veggies? Any meals like this that you like to make? Etc.

Dieting Help! Plateau?!?
I wonder if anyone can help me. I have been dieting and exercising for 3 months now and I have lost 42 pounds. I have another 14 pounds to lose to get to my goal weight but for the past 3 weeks my weight will not budge. Basically I will eat 700-800 calories a day and then burn that amount at the gym after work. It has worked wonders until now! Can someone please tell me what I have to do to maybe boost my metabolism or something so my body carries on losing weight. Ive heard of a dieting plateau but I'm not too sure how to get out of this if I am plateauing at all. PS please don't tell me I'm not eating enough calories because a low calorie diet works for me (until now I spose).

Am I becoming ill or malnutritioned?( Please answer)?
I weighed 230 last year currently weigh 139 aiming for 135.I did this alone without diet pills,or the gym just low calorie diet.I have not seen a nutrionist or dietcian.Lately I've been light headed,dizzy,felt like I had to black out,sharp pains in my legs tingling from my toes to legs,nausea and burning and aching pains in my stomach.I'm worried.
