You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets.  Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes.
Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK.
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either.
Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan.  Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people.    dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.

7 Things That People Misjudge About Low Carb Diet

There are a lot of misconceptions about low-carb diets. Almost every "anti-low carb" information or news report says the same thing: reduced-carb diets don't have enough fruits and vegetables, and even often draw an image of people eating unhealthy diet.

The reality, low-carb diets concentrate on healthy food, nutritious, and research into reducing carbs continues to show more and more positive results.

Here are the misconceptions and the truths about low-carb diets to set your own mind at easiness and help you inform others.

1. Consuming Low Carb = Courting Heart Disease
In study after study, cholesterol, blood pressure, triglycerides, and other indications for heart disease risk decline on low-carb diets. Also, in one large long term study, even low-carb diets with a lot of animal protein and fat did not raise the risk of heart disease.

2. Eating Fruits and Vegetables not Allowed on Low-Carb Diets
People believe that fruits and vegetables are not allowed because they are mainly carbohydrate.
Actually, people who take a low carb diet almost all the time eat more fruits and vegetables than usual. Instead, non-starchy vegetables are actually comes at the bottom of the low carb pyramids.

3. Low-Carb Diets will Cause Kidneys Disease
The reason is that since people with kidney disease are typically encouraged to consume low protein diets, a diet that is higher in protein will raise kidney disease.
In fact, a low-carb diet is frequently not higher in protein than the latest suggested levels.

4. Low Carb means No Carb
Many people thought that a low carb diet must be extremely low in carbohydrates.
Not even a single expert endorses this. The fact, you should have at least 45% - 65% carbohydrate depending upon individual.

5. Dr Atkins Died of His Own Diet
Despite improperly obtained medical reports mis-reported by the vegetarian group "Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine", Dr Atkins died from head injuries resulting from a fall. He was not fat when he died

6. Low-Carb Diets Have Insufficient Fiber
The reason is, because fiber is carbohydrate, a low-carb diet must be low in fiber.
In fact, a lot of low-carb foods are high in fiber, and on diets that encourage carb counting, fiber doesn't come into the calculation. Fiber remains undigested, so it is encouraged on low-carb diets.

7. Low-Carb Diets will "Leach" All The Calcium from Your Bones
The reasoning goes that low-carb diets are always high in protein. People on higher protein diets are likely to have more calcium in their urine. But this turns out to be a red herring. This has been proven NOT to be true. In fact, it turns out that protein, rather than cause bone loss, actually protects our bones.

Is Diet Coke/Pepsi okay to drink on a diet?
On a low carb and low fat diet, I heard you gain weight from Diet Sodas but I don't see how they can work. Is it okay to still drink diet coke or pepsi if you're drinking lots of water during the day too?

I need help :S can anyone give me advice on my diet plan?
hey, I am 21 years old. 5foot 9inches and weight around 98 kg. (so i have a high bmi :( ) I had a tough growing up and since leaving college it is apparent to me that i have obviously put on weight that i am not proud of. I have spent the last few weeks researching how to make a valid low fat diet plan to help me lose weight, I have yet to succeed. I know the key is to eat healthy and exercise and watch calories etc but it is physically impossible for me to keep track of these things because of my constant work lifestyle. I work as a chef, long hours and late nights. By the time i get home i just want to chill out eat dinner and go to bed. I know that i have been doing this wrong for a while and now i can see that i need to change. I am constantly on my feet at work and due to the location i am situated walking to work isnt possible but i did start walking from work to the town centre when i finished but this caused me less time to unwind before bed. I do have a big problem that i am incredibly fussy with food, I am allergic to shellfish and need quick and easy meals to make for me and partner afterwork. That i can pick up on my weekly shopping budget. After realising that eating after 7 doesnt effect weight gain eating late isnt a problem for me but i would still like it to be i within my calorie range and low fat. I work 6 days a week and always have an endless amount of housework and seeing family to do on my days off that the only exercise i can fit in is to walk my dogs but this doesnt seem enough. I have decided on this meal plan for me and i just want to know if it is worth sticking to. Breakfast: Cheerios with semi skimmed milk Glass of orange juice with vitamins Snacks; Low cal and low fat crisps Apples Grapes Oranges Pineapple Strawberries Melon Mon/Thur dinner Skinless chicken with rice and veg Tues/Fri dinner Tomato or chicken soup with wholemeal bread Wed dinner Beans on toast Sat Skinless chicken salad with pasta and dressing Sun Lamb spag bol Any help or advice at this point would be much appreciated. I need to get fit and healthy again i can see health problems becoming an issue and i want to fight them now. Thank you

can low salt diet cause constipation?
I'v been on a low salt, low fat diet for a while now. And I haven't been regular for quite sometime.I was thinking allergy to food and that maybe still be the culprit. Iv been drinking water, fiber, fruit and nothing has helped. I rarely eat greasy foods maybe once a week . for a 2 week span I was having bowel movements every other day. SO I finally thought about what I did in those two weeks.. I got a tooth pulled.. I was on antibiotics,, and all I ate was yogurt and soup ..I really didn't drink many fluids at all. I didn't exercise at all. Yes my bowel was dry but it was well formed and I had a bowel movement every other day. Now besides the yogurt the other thing I did was gargle with salt water 3 times a day. I just thought about that. I sure hope that more salt helps make me regular. I have been taking aloe Vera juice and probiotics as well which doesn't seem to help quite yet. Thanks and yes I workout frequently. and I eat foods that have some fats, turkey, fish, chicken lots of fruit whole wheat also etc but it may help to find a few more different choices. But I rarely put any extra salt on anything or even eat foods with salt. I know now that salt is what retains water in your intestines. So I'm going to start to gargle with sea salt twice a day as I did when I got my tooth pulled and see if My Bowel habits change. Maybe its a multivitamin that I should take would help with the salt and vitamin intake
