I am in STARVATION MODE?
Background Info: I am on the Nutrisystem diet program and have lost close to 20 pounds in 3 months. I am 5'2", 17 years old this Friday and I weigh 168 pounds. Recently, I have not been able to lose weight. Last week I decided to workout for half an hour every morning; (8 pound free weights, abs exercises, leg magic machine). I also take an aerobics class at school everyday... So I exercise 2 times a day. Ever since I have been on Nutrisystem (December), I have not had a period. I am not sexually active so I know that I am not pregnant. I went to the doctor the other day and I told him about my diet and about not having a period. He says that my body is in "Starvation Mode" If I don't get my period in 3 to 6 months then I have to be prescribed birth control. So... WHAT DO I DO??? I am paying lots of $$$ for the Nutrisystem. I am exercising 2 times a day. I need to lose 20 more pounds!

Weight lifting and dieting?
Here is my diet program: Fibre cereal in morning. Protein shake in the morning work break. Salad sandwich in the dinner break. Go home have a meal. Maybe some fruit before i go to bed. Im also drinking green tea. Ok so i was losing good weight exercising 3-4 times a week. Skipping, hitting the Punch bag and sit ups etc. But now ive hit the weights alot more. And my weight had gone up like 1-2lbs. Granted muscle is heavier then fat but its got me thinking is this diet working? Should i cut out the weights or give it more time? Because i also read weight lifting is good for losing weight and i notice muscle improvements.
