According to a study by Dr. John McDougall of his live-in weight loss program at St. Helena Hospital, the people who follow his program lose between 6 and 15 pounds a month until they approach trim body weight. Let's suppose that the weight loss is uniformly distributed. We are interested in the weight loss of a randomly selected individual following the program for one month
1. Suppose it is known that the individual lost more than 10 pounds in a month. Find the probability that he lost less than 12 pounds in the month.
Suppose that the length of long distance phone calls, measured in minutes, is known to have an exponential distribution with the average length of a call equal to 10 minutes.

Weight loss tips! in need!?
Ok I'm 17, 6'0 tall, and I weigh 220 lbs. This is the most I have ever weighed in my LIFE! I just got a ymca membership and I try to eat right but its SOOOO hard! I feel discouraged and end up quitting! I need to see results kinda soon if I want to keep the plan on board, because as I said earlier,I get discouraged and quit! I need vitamin sugestions, eat right tips, workout plans, and any words of wisdom you can offer! I will greatly appriciate anything!!!! Thanks and god bless!!!

New work out suggestions?
So I run every day in the morning before I do anything and I love the feeling after but I have not been able to keep up the running. I have to stop a lot. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Also I am getting a little bored with it. I do all sorts of varieties of running like short sprints, hills all kinds of things and I feel really bad about myself if I don't go but I'm getting so bored with it. Is there anyone who has some workouts that will burn a lot of calories and fat that involves less that 4 miles of running? I am trying to lose my last ten pounds. Anyone with personal experience? I am 5' 2" and 135 if that helps any. I know a lot about weight loss and trained in nutrition and fitness but if anyone has any ideas they know work throw them at me please! trying to get rid of stubborn belly fat and hips and legs really. and tone them up
